How we work together
Lived Experience Community
We are a group of people that have come together via The University of East Anglia (UEA), the University of Suffolk’s Social Work Voices (UOS) Norfolk County Council (NCC) and Suffolk County Council, (SCC). These four partners make up the Suffolk and Norfolk Social Work Teaching Partnership (SNSWTP).
Lived experience community members have many roles. Some care for a partner, a family member, an adult dependent, or a young child. We have had social workers in our lives for many different reasons, including our experiences of learning difficulties, physical disabilities, mental health, dementia, child protection, fostering and adoption.
Academics, Lecturers and Professionals
Academics and lecturers who contribute to social work education have previously been social workers themselves and therefore have a wide knowledge base in practice and in education.
Social workers and managers have completed social work degrees. They work with students on placement, work alongside social care practitioners and provide lecturing to students.
