Dian Campbell to present the Power of Language
The Suffolk and Norfolk Social Work Teaching Partnership has announced the latest session in a series of events focusing on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
This in-person event will explore the use of language in relation to inclusive and culturally competent practice, and the power of language to either create or reduce barriers. The event aims to create a space for participants to discuss and debate the use of language in relation to race, LGBTQ+ and disability.
The key speaker, Dian Campbell, is a qualified social worker with 20 years of experience working with children and their families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Dian is also a practice educator, where she offers support and facilitates the learning, of student social workers on placement.
This event is for all social workers, student and apprentice social workers and newly qualified social workers, practice educators, ASYE assessors and supervisors, and those supporting students, apprentices and newly qualified staff.
We will be sharing details of the discussions post the event.
